Berlin Apartment

This 250 sq. meter apartment in Berlin is designed in the Jugendstil style, named after the illustrated magazine Die Jugend, founded in 1896. One of the most prominent features of this movement is the abundance of decorative ornamentation, often featuring stylized botanical motifs.

The goal of the project was to preserve the historical aesthetic while adapting the space for contemporary living. Restored plaster moldings on the ceilings evoke the spirit of the 19th century, while the interior seamlessly blends classical elements with modern details.

The palette is dominated by white, grey, and black, with mustard-colored curtains in the main living area providing a bold, sophisticated accent.
